The Toronto Maple Leafs appear intent on moving Timothy Liljegren this season, and now it appears a perfect suitor in the West is emerging.

This season has been a very intriguing one thus far for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and while they've had success early, the trade rumours remain around the team. One player that is seemingly gone according to speculation is Timothy Liljegren, who has been linked to several teams after falling out of the Maple Leafs starting lineup.
"The Leafs were open to trading Timothy Liljegren in the summer as the threat of arbitration loomed," Jonas Siegel wrote on October 4. "They eventually brought him back on a two-year deal. He has already fallen down the depth chart and maybe even out of the opening night lineup."

"Sounds like Toronto is working to find a landing spot for Timothy Liljegren. He's down the depth chart, not a situation anyone is happy with," Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman wrote on Wednesday.

While there's been plenty of teams linked to the talented defenseman, another is now emerging as a potential candidate, and with the team working hard to find a perfect fit for him, Anaheim has become an intriguing destination.
"Liljegren, who has shown promise in a limited role, fits [Anaheim's] plan perfectly," wrote Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report.

At 25-years of age, Liljegren has 197 games of NHL experience under his belt, but with age still on his side, he could be a fit for the rebuilding Ducks that need a leader on their talented blue line. In those 197 games, Liljegren has impressed with 14 goals and 65 points with a +38 differential, and after a career best 23 points in 55 games a year ago, he's only improving.
It's unclear if a deal is going to get done anytime soon in Toronto, but both sides appear to be working hard to make it happen.
