Rick Dhaliwal, an insider covering the Vancouver Canucks revealed the two top targets that the team could get in return for J.T. Miller on the trade market.

As we get closer to the National Hockey League's trade deadline on March 7th, the Canucks seem poised to make a trade involving either Elias Pettersson or J.T. Miller, with recent developments suggesting the latter has more chances of changing teams this season than the other.

Over the weekend, the renowned insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that the Carolina Hurricanes would be top candidates to land Miller on the trade market, notably qualifying the team as a contender "we're just not seeing yet":

"I think there's somebody out there right now we're just not seeing yet. One team I do wonder about is Carolina. That's a team that makes more sense to me."

Well, thanks to him, we're seeing it now.

Rick Dhaliwal recently opened up on who could be targeted by the Canucks if they were to trade Miller to the Carolina Hurricanes.

He stated that two players could interest the Canucks: Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Jack Roslovic.

Here's what he said:

"24-year-old center Jesperi Kotkaniemi, he would make sense for the Canucks. They really liked him in his draft year."

"Roslovic is a player the Canucks have liked in the past, he's a UFA. When he was in Columbus the Cancuks tried to get him."

In my opinion, that seems a bit farfetched. Kotkaniemi was never able to live up to the hype of his draft year, tallying only 181 points over 445 NHL games in his career.

As for Roslovic, I don't believe the Canucks would go after a rental player in return for Miller, even if he has a great season so far, tallying 17 goals in 47 games.
