In anticipation of their training camps, NHL players have started skating on the ice, and as Kraken's Matty Beniers has shown, Fanatics jerseys are falling apart.

Many fans are dissatisfied with the quality of the jerseys that Fanatics, the league's official manufacturer, is sending out. Supporters contend that the jerseys fall short of the standards set by earlier brands like Adidas and Reebok in terms of quality and design.
The focal point of the most recent dispute with Fanatics was Seattle Kraken player Matty Beniers. The side of his jersey was completely torn when he was spotted participating in a team skate. Because they have grown accustomed to Fanatics' horrifying quality, fans are no longer at all surprised by this.

The majority of complaints center on the material, which they claim is far too thin and lacks long-term durability. NHL fans also complained about the poor quality stitching, saying that it occasionally even peeled off, removing the logo and numbers after a few wears or washings.
Fans are incensed about the apparent disregard for detail, in addition to the issues with the materials. Inconsistent sizing and colors that don't match real jerseys worn on the ice have been lamented by many NHL fans. Some have even brought attention to embarrassing printing errors or design flaws that take away from the authenticity of what is meant to be a high-end product.

Fears regarding cost have also clouded the switch to Fanatics. Fans may wonder if they are getting value for their money when they see quality problems like these, as jerseys are still pricey and cost about the same as Adidas's previous jerseys. Due to the combination of expensive prices and subpar quality, many NHL fans are now calling for a return to better craftsmanship and attention to detail in the hopes that the NHL will eventually revert back to adidas.
The widespread dissatisfaction displayed by a large number of fans highlights how important it is to maintain quality when purchasing something symbolic, such as a team jersey. If it means they will receive better quality, fans would much rather pay a higher price than take the chance of destroying something as priceless as a traditional jersey.
