Chris Roque, an established amateur scout for the Leafs, seems set to join the Pittsburgh Penguins, with his new role listed on their site and his name removed from the Leafs' roster.
Kyle Cushman of 'The Score' first reported this possible departure.
As of now, neither team has confirmed the move.
Roque, who is based in Ontario, spent over ten years scouting in the Ontario Hockey League before joining the Maple Leafs alongside Kyle Dubas, Wes Clark, and Sheldon Keefe.
Dubas, now serving as the General Manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins, hired Clark as the team's Vice President of Player Personnel following the 2024 NHL Draft.
Roque, alongside former Greyhounds scout Victor Carneiro, played a key role in the Leafs' scouting of the Ontario region, contributing to the selection of Nick Robertson, Easton Cowan, and Ben Danford in recent drafts.
