After two veterans were waived on Tuesday, we've now seen a further four players placed on waivers on Wednesday, with a roster freeze upcoming for the NHL.

The NHL's waiver wire activity has been red-hot as of late, and while there's been no massive names available via waivers, there has been plenty of names waived seemingly every day.

On Wednesday that has continued in a big way, with Elliotte Friedman announcing that four depth players have all been waived, including a player that just made his NHL debut this week.

That player would be Tye Felhaber, who had to grind through the AHL and the ECHL for years to get to the NHL, making his debut with the Colorado Avalanche to tremendous support on social media.

Then there's Dylan Coghlan, a 6-foot-2 blue liner for the Winnipeg Jets, who has played in 107 NHL games, but with little production during that time, it's likely he passes through and heads to the AHL's Manitoba Moose.

Thirdly is Marc del Gaizo of the Nashville Predators, who has played in 20 games this season, and while the team has struggled as a whole, he is just a -1 on the season, making this move a very surprising one.

Finally is Islanders 29-year old veteran Grant Hutton, who has played in 30 games with the team over his eight year professional career, but with just three points to show over that time, this may have been his final opportunity in New York, with his roster spot likely to be used for the return of Anthony Duclair.

Ultimately, it's unlikely that any of these four players will be claimed on waivers as they all represent solid depth with very little star power, and with the roster freeze beginning Friday, expect some more moves tomorrow.
