The Vancouver Canucks have seemingly entertained the idea of moving J.T. Miller this season given reports of a rocky relationship with Elias Pettersson, but for the most part, the organization seems intent on keeping him in Vancouver.
Now, in his latest report, Insider Frank Seravalli has revealed Miller's thought process around his future, and it's safe to say that no matter the reported drama, he doesn't want to go anywhere.
Given previous reports of how Miller and his family have embraced the city of Vancouver, this comes as absolutely no surprise, and with this team's potential at 100% health, it's safe to say that they've got a great shot in the wide open Western Conference if he stays put.
The escalating drama with Pettersson however could force Vancouver's hand, but at this point in time, they've shown much more willingness to listen to trade offers on EP40 than they have Miller, who remains a key leader on this team.
Pettersson has been adamant that there is nothing going on behind the scenes however, and while we've yet to hear from Miller, things could be smoothed over as the team continue to pursue a Stanley Cup.
In 2024/25, Miller has six goals and 24 points in 26 games played, with the veteran now seemingly back after taking a few weeks off for a mental reset, and even with the drama, it appears that the 31-year old is in Vancouver for a long, long time to come.
