Sad news today as Dakota Joshua, a forward for the Vancouver Canucks, recently disclosed that he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Cancer is a word that no one ever wants to hear. Unfortunately, after his doctors found a lump in his groin area, Dakota Joshua of the Vancouver Canucks got that awful news. Joshua revealed his cancer diagnosis via the Canucks' official social media accounts. As a result, he will miss training camp and potentially the entire season.
Thankfully, there was some hope included with the news. The 28-year-old is recovering from a successful surgery, and because of early detection, there is hope that he may play again in the 2024-2025 season.
In 2014, Dakota Joshua was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round. He has since participated in 184 NHL games, totaling 64 points (33 goals, 31 assists).
Dakota Joshua will miss the season's opening games while he heals from surgery. We hope the best for him.
