Some Toronto Maple Leafs fans are calling for Ryan Reaves to be traded after his controversial hit on Darnell Nurse last night.

The Maple Leafs beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in overtime yesterday, but what most people will remember from that game is Ryan Reaves' dangerous hit on Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse.
Nurse was skating in a vulnerable position with the puck and Reaves laid a massive shoulder hit on his head.
The defenseman remained on the ice for a few minutes before retreating to the locker room.
As for Reaves, he was ejected from the game and the NHL Department of Player Safety announced he would face a hearing for his actions.
Check out how it all happened in the video below:
With that hit, not only did Reaves injure a player, he also put his team in a tough spot, as the Leafs had to end the game with only 11 forwards.
Even if they won the game, no player wants to put their team in such a position. When players have an actual impact on the team, fans can forgive, but Reaves has been widely criticized for what he did, as his performances this season are once again underwhelming.
With only one assist and only 23 penalty minutes in 16 games with the Leafs, it's safe to say that Reaves struggles to do his job.
This left many people calling him out. Some even say that he shouldn't be in the NHL, while others say the Leafs should trade him.
Here are a few X posts from fans and experts:
Reaves, 37, could be nearing the end of his journey as a Maple Leafs player. Hopefully, he'll bounce back to make sure Leafs fans remember him for the right reasons.
