The insider Eklund revealed that the Pittsburgh Penguins are reportedly eyeing a surprising goaltender on the trade market.

While they managed to stop their losing streak to three last night by beating the San Jose Sharks 4-3 in shootouts, the Penguins are still seventh in the Metropolitan Division with a 7-10-3 record.
Only the Columbus Blue Jackets are behind them, with 14 points in 17 games.
It hasn't been a secret that the team's struggles are in big part due to the goaltenders.
The only goalie who has a save percentage over .900 is the 22-year-old rookie Joel Blomqvist, but he was sent down to the AHL yesterday after allowing three goals on eight shots last Monday against the Dallas Stars.
Now, Alex Nedeljkovic and Tristan Jarry are set to share the workload. However, both of them have been struggling immensely so far this season. Jarry was even sent down to the AHL at some point.
Many believe Kyle Dubas, the Pittsburgh Penguins' President of Hockey Operations, could be looking to make a move between the pipes.
According to Eklund, a renowned insider, the Pens could be tempted to target MacKenzie Blackwood.
Blackwood, 27, has been surprising this season. He could even be a part of the discussions for being a part of Team USA for the Four Nations tournament, said Eklund.
He also added that he heard head coach Mike Sullivan's job in Pittsburgh is safe until the team makes a move in goals.
Check out his full declaration:
"They are 100% looking for a solution....The best solution is probably another guy who is sneaking into the 4 nations conversation...McKenzie Blackwood. I have heard talks are ongoing and that until they make a move for a goalie Sullivan is safe...somewhat..."

Blackwood managed to keep great numbers despite being a part of the struggling San Jose Sharks for the past two seasons. This year, he has a 2.98 GAA and a .914 SV% despite a 3-5-3 record.
It'll be interesting to see what Dubas does to help Crosby and his teammates bounce back from their tough start.
