Will Borgen is not the flashiest of names around the NHL, however he is a solid depth defenseman who has been attracting a lot of interest lately from teams.

As mentioned by NHL insider Elliotte Friedman, Seattle Kraken defenseman Will Borgen is one of the defensemen being looked at by teams seeking some defensive depth.
In his '32 Thoughts' column and on 'The Fan Hockey Show', Elliotte Friedman said teams have inquired about Will Borgen.
Not the flashiest of names, Borgen, 27, would be more of a practical addition as a depth option. He's in the final year of his contract carrying a $2.7 million cap hit and will become an unrestricted free agent (UFA) after this season.
If the Kraken fall out of playoff contention, he might be a valuable rental for teams gearing up for a postseason run.
This season, Borgen has one goal, one assist, and a minus-11 rating through 31 games, a slower start than expected. However, he has shown offensive potential in previous seasons, including career highs last year with 22 assists and 25 points.
Borgen's physicality and experience make him a strong candidate to bolster a team's third pairing. At 6'3", he's a right-shot defender who plays a hard-hitting game, qualities that playoff contenders often look for.
Picked 92nd overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2015 Draft, Borgen played 14 games for Buffalo over two seasons, recording 42 hits and a minus-9 rating. Since then, he has become a dependable depth player, particularly on the right side.
And that's why, as the trade deadline draws near, he could become an under-the-radar target for any team looking to shore up its defense.
