There was a massive offer on Linus Ullmark at the January deadline, according to recent rumors.
This morning, Elliotte Friedman released some fresh information about goalie Linus Ullmark. At the NHL trade deadline, as everyone knows, Ullmark prevented a deal to head west.
Elliotte Friedman is now claiming that at the deadline, the Carolina Hurricanes were also in on Linus Ullmark. Friedman believes the Hurricanes may consider this trade offer again in the summer, however he is unsure if Martin Necas would be part of the return package.
Friedman said it's unclear if Martin Necas was involved in the discussions. Ullmark is entering the last year of his contract and has been the subject of trade rumors.
Jeremy Swayman is unquestionably going to take over for the Bruins; they have stated that he is and will remain their primary priority until they reach a deal with the goalie.
Necas is a restricted free agent this year, thus the Carolina Hurricanes presently retain his rights. If the Bruins pull off this trade, they will need to ensure that Necas is willing to sign and that a contract is in place for him.
