Despite an impressive off-season, the Nashville Predators' GM continues to tease the addition of another superstar.

To kick off this year's free agency, the Nashville Predators acquired Brady Skjei, Steven Stamkos, and Jonathan Marchessault. Despite these significant additions, the team continues to be linked to superstar trades.
Recently, GM Barry Trotz was asked about the rumors connecting them to 'a superstar in Toronto.' While he didn't deny their interest, he attributed the speculation to people simply connecting the dots.
Barry Trotz tells @JaredStillman there's truth to the rumors of Preds being in on some big names on trade market.

He mentions a "prominent player in Toronto" as "people trying to connect dots" but also lists reasons why someone like Mitch Marner would want to come to NSH.
Trotz doesn't entirely rule out the possibility of making a big move. He outlined numerous reasons why someone like Mitch Marner, who has a full no-trade clause, might be interested in Toronto.
Regardless of whether they make a move, the Predators are expected to make significant strides in 2024/25. Securing a player like Marner to bolster their forward group could make the sky the limit for Nashville.
