Major move emerges as the departure of assistant general manager Brad Holland is the latest in the Edmonton Oilers' off-season shuffle.

Significant changes have occurred for the Edmonton Oilers this off-season, including the departure of General Manager Ken Holland and now Assistant General Manager Brad Holland.
It was confirmed by Jeff Jackson, the team's current CEO and President of Hockey Operations, that assistant general manager Brad Holland has left the Oilers.
Following the departure of Ken Holland, it was no surprise when the Oilers announced Brad Holland's exit. The assistant GM's exit, shared by the Edmonton Oilers on their social media platforms, adds to the list of moves initiated by Jeff Jackson, President of Hockey Operations, over the summer.
This change comes after Stan Bowman was controversially appointed as the team's new general manager, a choice that caused conflicting feelings among supporters. Jackson, though, exudes confidence in the path he's leading the team. Given the close relationship between the two, many predicted that Brad would leave after Ken did. Though official statements have been made, rumors have surfaced suggesting that the split may not have been totally mutual.
Although Ken and Brad Holland were instrumental in building the Oilers' roster, they were unable to lead the group to the Stanley Cup, the team's ultimate achievement.
This is a new era for Edmonton, with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl leading the team on the ice. The fans are optimistic that the Oilers' pursuit of a championship may finally materialize as a result of this management change.
