Following the Edmonton Oilers' loss in the Stanley Cup Finals, shocking news has emerged that General Manager Ken Holland will not be returning next season.

Tonight, NHL insider Darren Dreger has confirmed that the Edmonton Oilers do not anticipate Ken Holland returning to the organization next season. Dreger suggests Holland may pursue a new challenge or consider retirement in the near future.
Darren Dreger on TSN: «Our understanding is that Ken Holland will not be back with the #Oilers. His contract expires, perhaps he wants to move on to new challenges or retirement.» #LetsGoOilers
Currently, there are no confirmed future plans for Ken Holland. What is certain is that he will not be present at the NHL Draft with the Edmonton Oilers.
I believe there's a role for Ken Holland moving forward in EdmontonIF he wants it. His situation will be clarified within a few days. As of right now indications are that he will not be at the Draft in Vegas.
We will keep you informed once there are reports confirming Ken Holland's future and potential replacement. As of now, the Edmonton Oilers' future is uncertain, especially with Leon Draisaitl needing a contract extension.
