Rasmus Andersson is one of the most intriguing players potentially available on the trade market this season, with the 28-year old on a team friendly deal that runs through to the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
While the Flames love Andersson and want him to stay, it's likely in their best interest to get future assets for him, and as such, there's reportedly plenty of interest in him around the NHL.
Now however, you can cross two teams off that potential list of teams looking to acquire him, as No. 4 has declared his hatred for two teams amidst these trade rumours in a conversation with reporter Eric Francis.
Unsurprisingly, it's the Flames two biggest rivals in Edmonton and Vancouver that Andersson has called out, both of whom would love a major upgrade on their blue line, something that Andersson represents.
So, what is the Swedish stars opinion on being traded? It appears as though he wants to remain a Flame, but given that he knows it's a business, there's a good chance that he gets moved on sometime in the next 12 months.
In 40 games this season, Andersson has tallied 6 goals and 18 points, and many believe that on a contender he could produce at a much higher level, with teams like Winnipeg, Dallas, Vegas and previously Vancouver all expressing interest.
It's unclear how his comments will effect his potential trade to either of these teams or anyone in the NHL, but it's clear that if he does remain in the Western Conference on a contender, they'll absolutely love his attitude.
