According to an insider, the St. Louis Blues' number one goaltender Jordan Binnington could end up on the trade block.

The St. Louis Blues once again are off to a rocky start to the season. With a 7-9-1 record, the team is currently sixth in the Central Division, only two points away from the Chicago Blackhawks and the Nashville Predators, at the seventh and eighth ranks.
Last night, the Blues lost against the Buffalo Sabres in overtime, the team's fourth straight loss.
It's safe to say that some of the Blues' struggles can be explained by the injuries to Torey Krub, Philip Broberg, Robert Thomas, and Nick Leddy. However, something else is coming in the way of the Blues' success: Jordan Binnington's performances.
The 31-year-old goalie isn't off to a great start this year, with only four wins in 13 games, a 3.31 goals against average, and a .886 save percentage.
According to a new report, the Blues could place the goalie on the trade block, as Binnington could ask for an opportunity to join a winning team.
Indeed, according to Connor Murphy, Binnington wants to be part of a winning organization, and many teams could use his services.
Here's what he wrote in a recent paper:
"I wonder if Binnington asks out eventually?

That wouldn't surprise me if he asked out. Binnington, the backbone of the 2019 Stanley Cup Champions, would eventually ask out this season.

He's a gamer, and yeah, I think he's tasted a Cup before, so he will want more. There are teams that have a chance and could use him."
Any team looking for a top goalie could be interested. However, his struggles could dissuade teams from acquiring him at a hefty price.
We can imagine the Colorado Avalanche looking to bolster their goaltender unit for the playoffs, especially with Alexandar Georgiev's constant underwhelming performances.
With Binnington's $6 million AAV contract, the Avs would need to free up cap space to get him, something any organization interested in him would also need to do.
Stay tuned as we keep an eye on the St. Louis Blues and Jordan Binnington's situation.
