The Philadelphia Flyers have been aggressively pursuing Peyton Krebs from the Buffalo Sabres, and it seems a deal may be nearing completion.

Sources within the league are saying the Philadelphia Flyers have been trying for some time to acquire Krebs from the Sabres, and their efforts show no signs of slowing down. Mattias Samuelsson has also drawn interest from Philadelphia, despite earlier controversy surrounding his father Kjell's involvement in the Flyers' Hockey Ops and player development, which now seems to be resolved.
Peyton Krebs is still on the Sabres roster but his role has seemingly been filled with the offseason additions.

Does a move to the wing make sense? What is their plan for him moving forward?
The delay in finalizing a deal stems from the Sabres' request for Joel Farabee in exchange, a demand the Flyers are hesitant to meet without additional assets from Buffalo. It's expected the Sabres will need time to reevaluate their trade offer. Given that it's early summer, further developments may take a few weeks, but a trade could materialize before the season begins.
