The latest trade rumor sees a Mitch Marner trade to the Vegas Golden Knights resurfacing after reports that he and his agent are unhappy with his ice time.

The rumored trade of Toronto Maple Leafs star winger Mitch Marner for Vegas Golden Knights center Jack Eichel has heated up once more, as the NHL season is now in full vigor.
Reports during the offseason showed that Marner could be traded due to issues discussing a contract extension, and Vegas was one of the teams that were at the center of those rumors.
Now, new reports are revealing that Marner and his agent have been unhappy with the ice time he received in Toronto, adding substantial weight to the rumors that he would be traded from the Maple Leafs.
For the first time since the rumors really began to take steam, there's word of a renewed possibility of a trade, and the fanbase is abuzz at what kind of ramifications a trade like this could result in.
Adding Jack Eichel could prove to be a game-changer for Toronto. He is big and dynamic down the middle, with elite playmaking and scoring abilities that would lock Toronto's top six into place.
With a shoot-first mentality as a center, Eichel would complement Toronto's skill-heavy forward lineup that has relied so heavily on Auston Matthews, William Nylander, and John Tavares.
Eichel's size and tenacity that allows him to drive plays could be precisely what the Leafs need to advance further in the playoffs, as they have been unable to get over that hump.
The fact he can play down the middle would also give Toronto more lineup options and perhaps take some of the pressure off Matthews.
On the other hand, the elite playmaking and two-way abilities of Marner could play to Vegas' benefit.
Much like Alex Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals, he brings a lot of creativity into the game with his high hockey IQ, which would be particularly useful within a system like Vegas.
He creates a lot of setup plays and scoring opportunities and would fit in great within the fast-paced, balanced style the Golden Knights play.
Adding Marner into the lineup for Vegas would add depth to their offense and create a different dynamic on the power play.
But which team would "win" this trade? If Toronto were to trade Mitch Marner for Jack Eichel, they would be adding a consistent scoring-focused center who would help bolster the lineup through the middle.
Vegas would enjoy Marner's puck-moving and all-around abilities. Toronto may hold a slight advantage in the trade by acquiring a much-needed center in Eichel who can excel with a power game, whereas Vegas would get an extremely talented winger but lose a very important puck-moving presence down the middle of the ice.
