After what has been a disappointing start to the 2024-25 NHL season, Montreal Canadiens GM Kent Hughes reportedly has three players ready to go for the right price.

While exactly no one was expecting the Montreal Canadiens to be a serious contender this season, fans and management were certainly hoping for signs of improvement. It hasn't materialized yet this season, and the Toronto Maple Leafs handed the Habs another loss Saturday night and the Canadiens are 4-9-2 early on.
While no one's talking about blowing up what GM Kent Hughes has been working on over the past couple of years just yet, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports there are three members of the Montreal Canadiens on the trade block right now.
The three players in question are all unrestricted free agents at the end of the 2024-25 NHL season. They are Christian Dvorak, David Savard, and Joel Armia.
David Savard carries valuable experience to any team he's playing on. The 34-year-old won a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2021, playing in 20 of the team's postseason games in the process.
Christian Dvorak, who was linked to the Nashville Predators in a recent trade proposal can add important depth to a roster that already has bigger names on it. But, he's not a punch for any team looking to add offense.
31-year-old Joel Armia is another depth player lacking in the offense department. He can play as a defensive forward who can eat up penalty-killing minutes, but Joel Armia is far from unique in either of those areas in the NHL.
Look for any or all three of these players to be dealt by General Manager Kent Hughes at any time. The Montreal Canadiens are still in a spot where future assets are sorely needed, and David Savard, Joel Armia, and Christian Dvorak can land them.
