Over the last couple of months there has been a ton of drama surrounding the Vancouver Canucks centered around J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson.
Originally the plan for the Canucks was to have Miller and Pettersson figure things out and to keep both players in the long term.
Instead now with things still not getting better between Miller and Pettersson, there has been an increase in chatter regarding a potential trade sending away one of the two stars.
Now this afternoon a report from insider David Pagnotta has revealed that several NHL General Managers were seen scouting an AHL game between the Laval Rocket and the Abbostford Canucks.
Last night on X Pagnotta confirmed that Pittsburgh Penguins GM Kyle Dubas, Utah HC GM Bill Armstrong, and Boston Bruins GM Don Sweeney were all in attendance to scout the Canadiens and Canucks prospects.
While it is not unheard of for a GM to travel to an AHL game to evaluate talent it is very strange for three different teams to send their GM to the exact same game.
With this information now revealed it likely means that all of these teams have been in conversation with either the Canucks or Canadiens on a potential major trade.
Add in the fact that the Canucks are listening to offers on Miller and Pettersson and the likelihood of these teams having potential offers and discussions with the Canucks skyrockets.
With the Vancouver Canucks struggling to move past this major conflict between Pettersson and Miller internally they will likely want to pull off a trade sooner rather than later.
As reports come out regarding interested teams in the Canucks pair of stars expect the Penguins, Utah HC, and Bruins to all end up on that list.
