Andrew Mangiapane traded from the Calgary Flames to the Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals have announced the acquisition of forward Andrew Mangiapane from the Calgary Flames in exchange for a 2025 2nd round pick.
Andrew Mangiapane, aged 28, recorded 14 goals, 26 assists, and 40 points in 75 games for the Flames this past season.
Drafted by the Calgary Flames in the sixth round, 166th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, Mangiapane has spent his entire career with the Flames.
As a veteran of seven NHL seasons with Calgary, Mangiapane has played 417 games, accumulating 109 goals, 106 assists, and 215 points.
The 2025 second-round pick traded to Calgary was originally owned by Colorado and acquired by Washington last year in a trade involving Lars Eller going to the Avalanche.
