After much waiting and trade speculation over the course of the NHL season, the Vancouver Canucks have finally traded their star forward J.T. Miller.

It's been on the cards all along, but J.T. Miller's eventual move out of Vancouver finally happened. He was nearly traded to the New York Rangers recently before that trade fell through, but he is now finally on the move to a new team.

J.T Miller has been traded to the New York Rangers

As reported by Elliotte Friedman, Darren Dreger as well as Frank Seravalli, Miller has been traded by the Vancouver Canucks to the Rangers.

The constant tug-of-war between Miller and Elias Pettersson has kept the tension level high in the Vancouver Canucks locker room this season. Analysts and fans alike knew it was only a matter of time before one of them got traded.

The tension between Miller and Pettersson has affected the whole team, which has fallen out of the playoff picture despite starting so promisingly. They unfortunately have been unable to replicate last season's excellent record of 50-23-9.

The Canucks still have a star-studded roster even without Miller. Quinn Hughes, who's having a brilliant season, is miles ahead of the rest, followed by Connor Garland, who is having an extremely solid season too.

Their challenge now will be trying to get things on track with Pettersson under the bright scrutiny in the city of Vancouver, as their fans have always been known to expect nothing but great things from their team.
