The Seattle Kraken and Anaheim Ducks have exchanged defenseman Brian Dumoulin for a future draft pick.

Anaheim Ducks strengthen their defense with the acquisition of Brian Dumoulin.
The #NHLDucks acquire Brian Dumoulin from #SeaKraken for a 2026 fourth-round pick.
TRADE: We have acquired defenseman Brian Dumoulin from Seattle in exchange for a fourth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft.

The Ducks have been relatively subdued since the start of free agency, but this trade solidifies their defensive lineup for the upcoming season.
Brian Dumoulin's departure from Seattle was prompted by the signing of Brandon Montour, who now bolsters their defensive corps. GM Ron Francis has been active this offseason, securing significant contracts for Montour and Chandler Stephenson.
Now, we await further moves from GM Pat Verbeek as he aims to enhance the Ducks' competitiveness and potentially move on from Trevor Zegras.
More to come.
