In a crucial development ahead of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins was notably absent from the Edmonton Oilers' practice session.

The star forward's absence was attributed to an illness, as confirmed by multiple sources familiar with the situation.
