Paul Maurice, head coach of the Florida Panthers, has given a crucial update on goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky's status ahead of Game 7, following his absence from a recent team practice.
"Oddly, Sergei Bobrovsky is not one of the two goalies warming up before the Panthers' practice, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Anthony Stolarz and Spencer Knight are out there. Bobrovsky is usually the first one on the ice, well before this, on a practice day."
Bobrovsky, amid struggles in the Finals against the Edmonton Oilers, allowed 12 goals across three games, denting his chances for the Conn-Smythe Trophy as playoffs MVP, reported BVM Sports. Despite this, Maurice assured reporters that Bobrovsky is in good health:
As the Panthers gear up for the final showdown of the 2023-24 Stanley Cup Playoffs on home ice, fans eagerly anticipate Bobrovsky's return to top form, hoping he can thwart the Oilers' comeback bid and secure a historic championship for Florida.
