Fans are furious with Frank Seravalli for remarks he made regarding the Columbus Blue Jackets' position in the standings in relation to Johnny Gaudreau.

A new season had arrived, and Frank Seravalli was jumping right in. With his return comes his yearly autumnal custom: 32 audacious forecasts for the 2024-25 NHL season. Seravalli began to discuss how all 32 teams are expected to do this year. Upon discussing the Columbus Blue Jackets, he made some remarks that the team's supporters found offensive.

Following Johnny Gaudreau's untimely death, fans quickly started criticizing Seravalli online for his terrible, inconsiderate remarks that demonstrated a great deal of disrespect for the late NHL star.

After seeing all of the hate that Seravalli was getting online, he quickly changed his words, but even the changed version still sounds terrible, as seen below.

13. After a proper period of mourning, the Lady Byng Trophy will be renamed in memory of Johnny (and Matthew) Gaudreau. Lady Byng had a great 100-year run. John won the Byng in 2017 and was a true gentleman of the game. It would also be appropriate for on-ice officials to vote on the award.

14. With a little help from above, the Columbus Blue Jackets will win the 2025 Draft Lottery. It's the only consolation prize on a brutal year, but hope and help is on the way. Bananas that the Blue Jackets have never won the Lottery.

Frank Seravalli made the following statement in response to his remarks, but one thing is certain: he lost a lot of social media followers as a result of them.
