P.K. Subban sharply criticized the Edmonton Oilers, pointing out one of their significant weaknesses, which appeared to displease Oilers legend Mark Messier.

Subban, the seasoned former NHL defenseman, sharply criticized the Oilers' defense amid their struggles in the Stanley Cup Finals against the dominant Florida Panthers. He labeled the Oilers' defense as "soft," pointing out their inability to thwart Florida's scoring opportunities.
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha Mess is absolutely SEETHING at @PKSubban1 calling the Oilers' D soft
The remarks seemed to echo a prevailing critique of the Oilers throughout the series, drawing displeasure from one notable figure, Mark Messier.
Many fans sensed that Messier was nostalgic about his playing days as he watched his former team struggle in a crucial game. It seemed like he would have donned the uniform and taken to the ice himself, if only that were possible.
Mark Messier wants to put on his old Oilers jersey so bad.. And it still wouldn't be enough #TimeToHunt
Considering Subban's own reputation, his comments about the Oilers defense are particularly notable. Subban wasn't known for his defensive prowess or toughness on the ice. Sports media personality Schlasser summed it up well.
When PK Subban's going off on the Oilers about how soft and toothless their defense is, it's over.
Messier, the legendary Oilers forward, spent twelve seasons in Edmonton as a superstar alongside Wayne Gretzky during the 1980s. He secured five Stanley Cups, winning his fifth without Gretzky and his first as the team's leading figure following Gretzky's trade to the Los Angeles Kings.
With the Panthers now leading 3-0, it appears almost certain they will clinch the series. The only remaining question is whether they will do so in four games. Tune in tomorrow to see if the Panthers can seal the deal in Edmonton.
