Canadian musician Drake hailing from Toronto, has placed a wager on the NHL's Stanley Cup Final showdown, between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers.
The anticipation surrounding the Edmonton Oilers is soaring throughout Canada, as fans eagerly anticipate a Stanley Cup victory by a Canadian team for the first time since 1993. The Oilers are four victories away from claiming their championship since 1990 under the leadership of legendary player Mark Messier.
Despite his allegiance to Toronto, Drake has shown his confidence in the Edmonton Oilers by placing a bet on them to triumph over the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup. He has wagered $500,000 on both the NBA's Dallas Mavericks to secure victory against the Boston Celtics and on the Oilers success against the Panthers. If both predictions prove correct Drake stands to win $1.35 million
