The New Jersey Devils may trade their 2024 NHL draft pick to bolster Sheldon Keefe's goaltending lineup.
Last season was a big letdown for the New Jersey Devils. Despite finishing in the Metropolitan division in 2022-23, they failed to make the playoffs in 2023-24. They will now have the 10th overall draft pick.
Reports suggest that the Devils are exploring options to improve their goaltending by trading their 10th overall pick.
GM Tom Fitzgerald expressed his willingness to consider offers that could benefit the team both now and in the future.
"If we feel it helps us now and in the foreseeable future, then, yes, I'm listening. I haven't gotten anything yet but the more I talk to teams, I say Listen, I'm open to moving No. 10, but it's going to have to be something (significant).'" - New Jersey Devils GM Tom Fitzgerald
Looking ahead, the Devils aim to bounce back next season and aim for a deep playoff run with their talented core players including Jack Hughes, Nico HischierLuke Hughes, Simon Nemec along with others on their roster.
