Drafted 32nd overall by the Anaheim Ducks in 1998, Stephen Peat was later traded to the Washington Capitals in 2000. Over the course of his NHL career, Peat played in 130 regular-season games, where he notched 10 points and established a reputation as a fierce competitor. He concluded his professional hockey career in the AHL following the 2006-07 season.
