Swedish forward Nils Aman, 24, has been placed on waivers by the Vancouver Canucks organization.

We can confirm after almost ten games that the team still manages to stay in a comfortable position despite finding it difficult to sustain the level they achieved the previous season. With 11 points from nine games, they may be in fourth place in the Pacific Division, but they still have two games ahead of many of their closest division rivals, including the Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers, and Calgary Flames.
Tonight against the San Jose Sharks, the team will try to recover from a humiliating 6-0 loss to the New Jersey Devils. The Canucks are positioned to win the game with ease on paper. The Sharks are last in their division with a 3-7-2 record and are still without Macklin Celebrini, the 2024 first overall pick. The team will, however, enter the game with a lot of energy because they are currently on a three-game winning streak.
Ahead of tonight's game, the Vancouver Canucks made the roster decision to place Nils Aman on waivers.
In 2020, the Colorado Avalanche selected Aman, a 24-year-old center from Sweden, with the 167th overall pick. He eventually joined the Vancouver Canucks in 2022, though, and never played for the Avs. Since then, he has participated in 32 AHL games and 115 NHL games. He also participated in five of the playoff games from the previous year. Aman participated in four games in Vancouver this season and recorded two assists.
The fact that Nils Aman was placed on waivers today may indicate that forward Dakota Joshua will soon be able to rejoin the Vancouver Canucks. In September, Joshua revealed that he had undergone treatment for testicular cancer, which prevented him from attending training camp with the team. The 28-year-old this week was seen sporting a full-contact sweater, suggesting that his comeback is imminent.
