Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin is going to be quite busy in the weeks leading up to the draft and unrestricted free agency.

The team has many free agents, including Latvian forward Teddy Blueger, who signed a one year contract with Vancouver as an unrestricted free agent in July 2023.
As per David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, there is interest from the Vancouver Canucks in re-signing Teddy Blueger and discussions have already taken place with his agent regarding his return for the season.
Pagnotta mentioned that Patrik Allvin and the Canucks are planning to revisit negotiations with Teddy Blueger for a contract this month. Alongside Blueger, the team is also working on securing contracts for agents like Tyler Myers, Nikita Zadorov and Dakota Joshua.
"The Canucks have also shown interest in bringing back forward Teddy Blueger and have spoken to his agent, as well. But there are a lot of moving parts in Vancouver beyond him and Myers Nikita Zadorov, Dakota Joshua and Elias Lindholm are also pending UFAs, while Filip Hronek can hit RFA status July 1 and is in line for a big raise and the Canucks plan on circling back with Blueger later this month." Pagnotta said.

Blueger, aged 29 played in 68 games for the Canucks this season tallying 28 points (including six goals and 22 assists) along with 31 penalty minutes and a plus-four rating. During the Stanley Cup Playoffs the player from Riga contributed two assists in 13 games.
As free agency approaches in under a month the Canucks are expected to be engaged in negotiations to retain some of their unrestricted free agents. It wouldn't be surprising if Blueger decides to explore options when free agency opens on July 1st. Nonetheless a return to Vancouver is still a possibility.
