The Edmonton Oilers have secured a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. As expected there's controversy surrounding the officiating following their win over the Stars in game six.

After a tough series the Edmonton Oilers managed to clinch three straight wins against the Stars and are now set to face off against the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals. However drama seems to follow in the Stanley Cup Playoffs, as a social media user has pointed out an obvious missed call involving captain Connor McDavid that could have potentially benefited the Dallas Stars.
Looks like McDavid got away with closing his hand on the puck 😬
From watching this video it's evident that there was indeed an error and although it might not have altered the games outcome, instances like these certainly raise questions from fans and analysts who believe that No. 97 is treated differently compared to players in the NHL.
Regardless of whether it was the right decision or not, McDavid delivered a strong performance during this game, including what could be considered a goal of the year. Showcasing why the Oilers are confident about their chances of winning their first Stanley Cup since 1990.
Ultimately, nothing can be changed now; the Oilers won three straight and earned their spot in the Stanley Cup Finals. However, it would be ideal for the NHL if at least one of their games could go without obvious missed calls.
