Vancouver has been non-stop drama for the past few months, and now Jim Rutherford has called out the two players at the heart of the issue.

The Vancouver Canucks have been on the verge of trading either J.T. Miller or Elias Pettersson for weeks now, with the drama holding this team back from being a Stanley Cup Playoff team in the Western Conference.

Now, President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford has addressed the situation, and it's safe to say that he's less than thrilled with everything, calling out Miller and Pettersson especially in the process.

When you don't have chemistry, it's hard to be that consistent team because there's too much going on in the same room for everyone to concentrate on what they're supposed to do.

When Rutherford was asked if that was a direct shot at the public feud and if that impacted the team or not, he kept it short and simple.

Yep, yup.

It's been clear to the public for quite some time that the chemistry and the vibes of the Canucks team from a season ago simply aren't present in 2024/25, and with the team sitting a few points behind the Flames in the Stanley Cup Playoff race, they've got some major work to do.

With the New York Rangers still pushing for Miller and the Buffalo sabres are reportedly in on Pettersson, it appears to be a matter of when, not if a deal gets done here, as the team are now fully aware that with both in the locker room, this simply won't work.

Rutherford's comments come just a week after Patrik Allvin publicly called out Pettersson, while the fans and media have been on Miller for weeks, so one way or another, this core is about to get split up in a big way very soon.
