This season has been a disaster in the Vancouver Canucks locker room, and on Saturday, the team came awfully close to moving star forward J.T. Miller, who has reportedly been the biggest issue within that locker room.
While the front office in Vancouver warned opposing teams about tampering, NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman has now confirmed that they have allowed some teams permission to talk to Miller, and given his NMC, that may be a good opportunity to state their case as a potential landing spot for the 31-year old.
Expanding on that report was David Pagnotta, who revealed that the Devils are surprisingly a team that are not included in that list, which is surprising given that many believed they'd be a contender to land Miller.
Through all of this, Miller has remained adamant that he wants to be a Canuck, as he had this to say about his future following their victory over the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday night.
At this point in time, all signs still point towards the Rangers being the team that lands their former star, but with plenty of interest around Miller in the league, anything is a possibility at this point in time.
Ultimately, a trade is more likely than not to take place in the coming weeks, and even after a solid performance on Saturday, the team believe that removing Miller from the locker room is the best move for the organization, so don't be surprised to see this happen in the next few weeks.
