The attention in Vancouver is all on J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson, but over the past few weeks, it's started to become clear that Brock Boeser could be available, with several teams in the Eastern Conference ready to make a push for him.
Now, that has been all but confirmed by reporter Cam Robinson, who has revealed that teams around the league are expecting him to be available, with the Canucks likely looking to get something in return for him before he hits free agency in the summer.
This doesn't come as a major shock, as the Canucks are seemingly intent on breaking up this core, and while one of Pettersson/Miller and Quinn Hughes will stick around to build for the future, it appears as though the team don't believe in 27-year old Boeser as a solution long-term.
There's plenty of candidates to land the 27-year old, but according to Bleacher Report, the Pittsburgh Penguins may very well be one of them, as they've named them as one of the landing spots for Boeser.
Last season, Boeser had career highs across the board with 81 games played, 40 goals and 73 points in that time, with many believing he'd be a long-term piece in Vancouver as a result of that production.
This season however, his injury issues have come back, with a solid 16 goals and 33 points in 41 games played, but with so much drama surrounding the team, they may not be in a position to commit to him long-term ahead of his free agency in the off-season.
Ultimately, if there's significant interest and the Canucks can get a piece or two back for the 27-year old, it makes sense to move him now, as it may give them more pieces to push for a bigger trade to add to the team, but for now, all signs point to them moving Boeser in the very near future.
