The departure of goaltenders from the Toronto Maple Leafs organization persists as Keith Petruzzelli of the Marlies inks an AHL deal with the Philadelphia Flyers.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have struggled to make a significant playoff push, and their goaltending issues have been a recurring problem. Following their early exit from the playoffs, Ilya Samsonov signed a one-year deal with the Vegas Golden Knights, and the team had previously traded Petr Mrazek to Chicago for a draft pick improvement.
"Ilya Samsonov has signed with the Vegas Golden Knights to a one-year, $1.8M deal."
Now, the Maple Leafs face another loss as Keith Petruzzelli, who had a less-than-stellar season with the Toronto Marlies, has signed with the Philadelphia Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.
"The Lehigh Valley Phantoms are signing goaltender Keith Petruzzelli to an AHL contract for 2024-25.

The 6-foot-6 former 2017-3rd round pick of Detroit went 6-8-2 with a 3.55 GAA & .867 SV% in 17GP with Toronto Marlies last year. #AHLFreeAgency24 @InsideAHLHockey"
With a .867 SV% in his last season with the Marlies, the loss of Keith Petruzzelli might not have a huge impact on the Maple Leafs. However, if their issues with retaining goaltenders persist, they could face more significant problems in the future.
