Mitch Marner seems to have made up his mind about sticking with the Toronto Maple Leafs, despite rumors about his availability in the free agency market.

As per Justin Bourne a Sportsnet NHL analyst, Marner has conveyed to the team his desire to remain with the Leafs for at least for next season before entering free agency.
Marner, in the last year of his $10.9M contract next season, is expected to delay negotiating his next deal, concentrating on the upcoming season in Toronto, as per reports. There's no indication from Marner that he intends to depart Toronto or seek a trade.
During an interview with The Leafs GM Brad Treliving cautioned against believing everything in circulation and highlighted Marner's no movement clause as a factor, in any potential trade involving him.
«Mitch controls a lot of this whole thing (with the no-trade). If there's a way to make our team better, we're going to do it. But we're certainly not going to make a trade just so we can pound our chest and say, Look, we're different.'»

A 27 year old Marner, scored 26 goals, made 59 assists & accumulated 85 points in 69 games, for the Toronto Maple Leafs this year. Over his 8 seasons with Toronto spanning 576 games, Marner has tallied 194 goals, provided 445 assists & amassed a total of 639 points.
Marner has been selected as an NHL All Star three times, receiving the honor of participating in the last two seasons.
