Joe Bowen reveals his plans regarding his future with the Maple Leafs
Joe Bowen, the iconic voice of the Toronto Maple Leafs, recently addressed his career in a post on X.
After the Maple Leafs' playoff exit, Bowen's message hinted at his possible retirement.
"Thanks to all of the Leaf fans who chose to listen to @Jim_Ralph and myself on the @MapleLeafs radio network this season. A terribly disappointing ending to a great season. We look forward to next year but I admit I'm running out of opportunities. Enjoy your summer"
Fans speculated about the future of the legendary commentator, but Bowen's latest update provided clarity.
On X, Bowen confirmed that he will return next season alongside Jim Ralph.
He wrote:
"Not going anywhere!!! Ralphie and I are back in October!!"
The announcement was met with widespread support from fans on social media:
Bowen and Ralph are widely celebrated sportscasters in the NHL, having made a lasting impact on multiple generations of fans. Here's hoping the Maple Leafs can finally deliver a Stanley Cup victory for them to call next season.
