Insider reveals Vegas Golden Knights' pursuing Maple Leafs' Mitch Marner

As the Leafs consider making moves during the offseason, all of the attention is on Mitch Marner as he could be part of a trade deal.

While trade rumours have been circulating recently, this latest piece of information comes directly from insider David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period.

If the Golden Knights are looking to bring in a player like Marner they might have to swap out some bigger paid players.

Considering the Leafs' need for defensemen to strengthen their defense, it wouldn't be surprising if someone like Shea Theodore is part of the trade.

Theodore, who is 28 years old had a season with 42 points in 47 games. He didn't manage to score in the seven playoff games he played.

With one season left on his contract worth $5,200,000 annually, it's likely that Theodore will be seeking a pay raise during contract negotiations, for his deal.
