St. Louis Blues' Dylan Holloway Rushed to Hospital After Terrifying Freak Accident

Dylan Holloway took a puck to the neck, causing the St. Louis Blues and Tampa Bay Lightning game to end early in the first period.

The hockey community witnessed a terrifying scene when Dylan Holloway, a forward for the St. Louis Blues, was hit by a puck in the throat and had to be taken to the hospital right away after being assessed by medical personnel on the bench:

The Tampa Bay Lightning and St. Louis Blues game was in its first period when the incident occurred. Nicholas Paul, a forward for Tampa Bay, fired a shot at the blueline, and it soared up and hit Holloway under the chin, nearly hitting his Adam's Apple. After receiving brief medical attention, the game was halted to allow Holloway to be carried off on a stretcher.
After the event, the Tampa Bay Lightning issued the following statement:
All of #Bolts Nation is wishing Dylan Holloway and the Blues family nothing but the best 💙
According to recent reports, Holloway will be fine because his airway was unaffected. His family is at the hospital with him; they were in town for the game.
The St. Louis Blues have suffered yet another devastating injury this season, as both of their offer sheet additions are now sidelined for an extended amount of time. Along with star forward Robert Thomas, St. Louis is also without important defensemen Nick Leddy and Torey Krug.
