It was announced today that goaltender Ludovic Waeber has left the Pittsburgh Penguins organization in favor of signing overseas in Switzerland.

This past year the Pittsburgh Penguins traded Magnus Hellberg to Florida in exchange for Ludovic Waeber.
The Penguins have acquired goaltender Ludovic Waeber and a conditional 2025 7th-round draft pick in exchange for Magnus Hellberg.

Today, it was announced that Waeber would be leaving the NHL in favor of ECH Kloten of the Swiss NL.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goalie Ludovic Waeber has signed with EHC Kloten in Switzerland's National League.

The Pittsburgh Penguins acquired Waeber in the Magnus Hellberg trade. He is a pending unrestricted free agent with regard to his NHL status.

Last year was the only season that Waeber did not play in Switzerland and he performed decently in the AHL with the Charlotte Checkers and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. It looks like the Swiss netminder will continue the rest of his professional hockey career in his home country.
