The captain of the New York Rangers Jacob Trouba seems unlikely to face consequences after an elbow hit on Evan Rodrigues from the Florida Panthers in game three.

The referees again found themselves in the middle of a decision during yesterday's match, between the Rangers and Panthers.
Trouba's high elbow to Rodrigues' head initially led to a five minute penalty prompting a review by the Department of Player Safety. However upon review the referees reduced the penalty to a minor one.

Jacob Trouba is the Draymond Green of the NHL, only the NHL refs don't have the stones to throw his cheap a** out

How one of the most blatant & intentional elbows of his career (which is saying a lot) isn't a major just doesn't make any sense. What a joke. Dude's a total clown
Jacob Trouba gets a two-minute penalty for the slash and another two for this egregious elbow.

How was this not a major?
If the NHLs Department of Player Safety chooses to take action against Trouba, an announcement is anticipated today. However considering it was a penalty, many speculate that Trouba may not face any additional repercussions. In such a scenario the Panthers might seek retribution during game four. The tension between these teams is undeniable. Following this incident, the stakes for the upcoming game have significantly increased.
