Nick Cousins' rocky reputation may be hindering his contract prospects
Nick Cousins, known for his controversial behavior on the ice, is still without a contract nearly a month into free agency.
His negative reputation might be causing teams to hesitate about signing him, concerned about potential disruptions to team chemistry.
"What people don't wanna watch and see is kneeing, hitting a guys head into the boards, ramming a guy from behind and that is a common theme for [Nick Cousins]," said Bieksa back in January. "I have never done this before but I have to do it, because this is a trend with this player."

Despite receiving support from fans in South Florida, Bieksa's criticism has gained traction, potentially deterring general managers from considering Cousins for their rosters.
Cousins, who recently won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers, remains unsigned. With about eight weeks until training camps begin, it remains to be seen if he will secure a new team.
