Like any major sporting event, ticket prices soar during the most crucial period of the year, and the 2024 Stanley Cup Final is no different.
The tickets for Games 3 and 4 at Rogers Place in Edmonton were released to the public on Wednesday morning. Prior to the release, season ticket holders had a specific window where they could purchase tickets with a code before the general public could have access.
Some savvy season ticket holders in Edmonton, capitalized on the demand from fans to witness their team's first Stanley Cup Final appearance in nearly two decades. They resold their tickets at triple the price.
According to a post by World Hockey Report on X platform, even the cheapest resold tickets for Game 4 were priced over $1,200 Canadian for seats in the upper bowl at Rogers Arena. The majority of tickets in the $200 range were selling for over $1,500 CAD.
Fans are most likely sure to purchase these tickets even with the heavy price tag. This series holds major significance for the Edmonton Oilers and their supporters, as it marks their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 2006, when they were defeated by the Carolina Hurricanes in a seven game showdown.
