This season has been a whirlwind thus far for the Colorado Avalanche, with the team seemingly fixing their inconsistency and goaltending issues as they now firm as a Stanley Cup contender once again.
Now, Aarif Deen of Colorado Hockey Now has identified some major upgrades the team could make in their bottom-six, linking the team to three very intriguing forwards; Juuso Parssinen of the Nashville Predators, Nick Robertson of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Jonathan Berggren of the Detroit Red Wings.
Given the Avalanche's expectations and their aggressiveness to already move to improve their goaltending, there's a great chance that they shoot much higher than these three, but if they are looking at a cheap upgrade in the bottom-six, they're all fantastic options.
With captain Gabriel Landeskog potentially on the way back too, the top-six is expected to get a major boost, but given that he's always going to have question marks over his health, the team may need to add much more depth if they are to go deep through the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
On top of these three, Deen linked the Avalanche to Kraken standout Yanni Gourde if they want to shoot much higher to shake things up in a much bigger way, but one thing is for certain at this point, and that is that the star studded Avalanche with some huge decisions to make this summer are ready to go all in for a Cup run in 2024/25.
