NHL insider Elliotte Friedman has linked Calgary Flames goaltender Jacob Markstrom to three teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Markstrom has been a subject of numerous trade rumors in recent years, and it appears that a move could materialize this summer.
With his no-movement clause, Markstrom holds significant influence over his destination. Recent reports suggested his willingness to waive the clause to join the New Jersey Devils. Friedman further highlighted interest from the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Ottawa Senators:
"32 Thoughts Podcast: Elliotte says 'there's definitely something going on' between Calgary and New Jersey on Markstrom. Calgary is trying to keep things quiet. Elliotte goes on to mention Toronto and Ottawa as also interested."
The Maple Leafs boast promising goaltending prospects in Joseph Woll and Dennis Hildeby. Bringing in Markstrom via trade could provide a strong short-term solution, especially considering his contract, which expires after the 2025-26 season, carries a $6 million AAV.
Calgary Flames General Manager Brad Treliving faces crucial decisions leading into the draft and free agency. While he possesses valuable trade assets and financial flexibility, managing impending free agents and addressing the Mitch Marner situation adds complexity to the equation.
Ultimately, Markstrom holds the reins on his future destination. Should no suitable trade materialize, he could remain in Calgary, potentially leading to the Flames exploring options involving either Dan Vladar or Dustin Wolf.
Do you believe Jacob Markstrom will be dealt by the Calgary Flames this summer?
