This evening the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks have made a trade that will see veteran forward Daniel Sprong head back to Seattle.

Multiple reports have come in tonight confirming that the Seattle Kraken and Vancouver Canucks have struck a deal.
After struggling so far this season with the Canucks Daniel Sprong will be traded to the Seattle Kraken for future considerations according to Elliotte Friedman.
Daniel Sprong was hoping to have a breakout season with the Vancouver Canucks after arriving this summer from the Detroit Red Wings.
Despite scoring the team's first goal of the season things have not worked out well.
Unfortunately, things did not go to plan through his first 9 games as he tallies just a total of 3 points.
Now Daniel Sprong will return to the Seattle Kraken where he spent parts of 2 seasons.
With the return to Seattle, Daniel Sprong will be hoping to bring the speed and energy that he is known for to the bottom six of the Kraken.
His best season in the NHL came with the Kraken in 2022-23 when he tallied 46 points in 66 games.
Since leaving the Kraken Daniel Sprong has had to earn ice time in other places. With the Red Wings, he played 76 games and had 43 points.
Clearly, things were not going to work out in Vancouver and now Daniel Sprong will get a new opportunity to make things click back in a familiar place.
With the Canucks something just didn't quite click leading the two sides to go their separate ways. Now it will be interesting to see if the Canucks got it wrong of if Daniel Sprong just isn't the player he used to be.
