The New York Rangers have finally made a trade involving their captain Jacob Trouba.

Today has been a busy day for NHL insiders, as earlier this morning, reports confirmed that Jacob Trouba wasn't at the Rangers' practice and was set to miss tonight's game:
There were only two possible scenarios at the time: either the players would hit the waiver wire or be traded.
Then, Friedman confirmed that Trouba hadn't hit the NHL waiver wire:
Finally, reports about a deal being finalized with the Anaheim Ducks started to emerge:
It was all made official, and all the details of the trade were revealed.
In return for Trouba, the Rangers got the 25-year-old Urho Vaakanainen and a fourth-round pick from the Ducks.
Drafted 18th overall by the Boston Bruins in 2017, Vaakanainen played in 141 NHL games for the Bruins and the Ducks in his career.
According to scouting reports, the 6-foot-1, 205 lbs defenseman from Finland is a great defensive defenseman, with shutdown abilities.
Throughout his NHL journey, he has health with multiple injuries, which affected his development, but he has great potential, and the Rangers hope he reaches it in their organization.
New York will be in action without Trouba for the first time tonight against the Pittsburgh Penguins and Sidney Crosby. It promises to be an emotional game, but we don't expect to see Vaakanainen make his debut tonight.
It'll be interesting to see what GM Drury does with all that available cap space. With that move, he now has $5.9 million to maneuver ahead of the trade deadline.
