Potential trade between Maple Leafs and Jets involving Nick Robertson surfaces

it seems they may be targeting a unique solution to the problem by pursuing discontented Jets prospect Rutger McGroarty, who seemingly doesn't want to be a Jet.

A rumor has surfaced that the Jets and Maple Leafs might assist each other through a potential trade, with a deal centered around Nick Robertson and Rutger McGroarty becoming a real possibility.

Unlike McGroarty, Robertson has NHL experience, having scored 14 goals and 27 points in 56 games for the Leafs last season. Despite his solid performance, he remains unhappy with his role on the team.

The Jets are seeking to fill a spot in their top nine, and with Robertson's experience, he could be the ideal candidate for a trade that benefits both Canadian teams in their pursuit of the Stanley Cup in 2024/25.

It's seemingly only a matter of time before McGroarty is moved. If the Maple Leafs consider the University of Michigan prospect NHL-ready, packaging Robertson with another asset could be a significant move to give their offense a much-needed boost.
